EQ ”A Key Factor for Personal, Professional and Leadership Success”
A presentation in co-operation with the International Coach Federation, Philippine Chapter
January 24, 2012, 7.00 pm -9:00 pm
I am very excited to visit the Philippines for the first time.
Emotional intelligence is not new to people in the Philippines.
Actually , one of the first scientific studies on work success and the importance of EQ was done in Manila in 1999 by Joseph Hee-Woo Jae at Ateneo Manila University.
100 university-educated bank employees were tested with the Bar-On EQ-i® . The findings were that EQ contributed 27% of work success while IQ contributed only 1%. 72% were due to ”other factors” .
I also understand that there is an Association for Emotional Intelligence in the Philippines focusing on EQ in the schools. EQ in education is a very exciting area that has grown with leaps and bounds all over the world over the last 5 years or so.
Kandidata Asia is working closely with the Ministry of Education in Singapore with focus on EQ for principals , teachers and students. We have lots of interesting information and experience to share.
Come and learn more at the talk in Manila on Jan 24. Welcome!
