The EQ-i was administered to over 1,000 sales personnel of a US-based international organization, including their offices in the US,  Japan, England and Germany. The question was: are there any differences in the EQ scores of “successful” salespersons as compared to those that are deemed less “successful”?

Findings: Emotional Intelligence as measured by the EQ-i 2.0 is highly predictive of sales success. Attrition due to sales “failure” decreased by over 80% and represented a significant cost saving over $3 million.
